SIOUX CITY- Paul Shillingstad is not new to the business of sports fan stores. In fact, he’s gone through the process of opening more Pro Image Sports stores over the past 20 years than any other owner. He’s at it again, as he currently puts the final touches on merchandising his newest store in Sioux City, Iowa. Despite his wealth of experience, Paul still gets amped up for Grand Openings.
“It’s always exciting,” he said recently in anticipation of opening his 11th store.
Although it has been a few years, Southern Hills Mall is familiar with the Pro Image Sports brand, as this is the second time one of our owners has opened there. For the past few years there has been a competitor in the mall, and Paul is confident he can offer a great shopping experience with customary combination of fresh product and sincere customer service.
Iowa has been a great state for Pro Image Sports stores over the years. Paul has had a number of great stores in the Des Moines market for years, and has his finger on the pulse of the sports fans there. Iowa and Iowa State have strong fan bases, as do many of the NFL’s NFC North teams.
The doors will be open this weekend, just in time for the NFL draft and college graduation, with the Grand Opening set for this upcoming Saturday, May 2nd.
